Also consumers in Ireland choose for Fair Flowers Fair Plants

Since February 9, more consumers in Ireland can learn about Fair Flowers Fair Plants (FFP) products. ‘Living Colours’, an Irish wholesaler of flowers and plants, started with the supply of FFP flowers to thirty of their customers points of sale.

In several supermarket shops, at florists and at service stations, bouquets with the FFP-label are presented. The intention is to extend this with more points of sale. Besides Ireland, FFP flowers and plants are now available in 9 countries, among which are Germany, Sweden, Holland, England, France and Denmark. In Ireland already a couple of florists were familiar with FFP and this extension will positively support the publics awareness of FFP.

In buying an FFP-bouquet or plant the consumer in Ireland obtains a product that is guaranteed to be produced in a sustainable way (respecting social and environmental aspects). Sales is organised by a semi-closed chain. The FFP producers fulfil high social and environmental conditions. Moreover the trader and the selling florist fulfil the tracing conditions of FFP. The flowers and plants come from all over the world.
A couple of florists in Ireland already started earlier with FFP and the increasing interest now on the Irish market seems not to be a strange development. The FFP label is already an increasing success in many countries.
